Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the kitchen staff and ensure that all food preparation and presentation meet the highest standards.
  • Manage food ordering, receiving, and inventory to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
  • Develop and implement menus that cater to the diverse dietary needs and preferences of our residents.
  • Ensure compliance with state and local health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the dining staff to provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive dining experience for our residents.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of one year of culinary experience in a senior living or skilled nursing environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds regularly and perform occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds).
  • Ability to stand for at least 80% of the scheduled shift.
  • Ability to work a full shift, come to work on time, and work overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with dining services in a Chef, Cook, Sous Chef, or Dietary Aide role.
  • Restaurant, food service, or banquet experience helpful.
  • Experience in a senior living or skilled nursing culinary environment a plus.
  • Hospitality and supervisory experience a plus.
