Job Summary:

  • The Medical Office Coordinator will be responsible for managing front-end administrative tasks, greeting patients, and handling telephone calls.
  • Perform all aspects of patient registration, scheduling, document administration, and reception while maintaining North Star's customer service standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Efficiently manage front-end administrative tasks, including patient registration and scheduling.
  2. Professionally handle telephone calls and messages, including voicemail and patient portal messages.
  3. Triage phone calls for immediacy and route messages to the nurse or practitioner as necessary.
  4. Manage department inbox and appointment functions, including appointment ticklers and reminders.
  5. Handle PHI requests according to North Star Health policy.
  6. Maintain a professional and welcoming demeanor when interacting with patients.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Prefer experience in customer service or healthcare-related roles.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations.

Estimated Salary:$55,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
