Job Title: Front Desk Receptionist
Classification: Non-Exempt
Hourly Rate: $12-$17 (GS 1-4)
Reports to: Office Manager
Position Type: Full or Part-time
Overview:
The Front Desk Receptionist plays a crucial role in managing the front office operations and performing various administrative tasks. This includes welcoming and checking in clients, answering phone calls, addressing company inquiries, collecting co-payments, and organizing documentation. The receptionist provides essential support to both management and staff by assisting with daily office functions and general administrative responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and assist all clients visiting the office; respond to inquiries both via phone and in-person.
- Confirm client details and insurance coverage.
- Learn and apply de-escalation techniques, as the role may involve high-stress situations.
- Ensure a safe and tidy work environment.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Accurate and efficient in electronic data entry.
- Dependable with excellent attendance.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently.
- Ability to multitask, solve problems, and demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Adaptable to a dynamic work environment, including varying noise levels.
- Physical requirements include prolonged sitting, bending, lifting, and walking.
- Must pass a comprehensive criminal background check.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in billing and insurance processes is advantageous.
