Compensation
$18.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee food preparation while ensuring quality, presentation, and sanitation standards are upheld.
- Confirm that all portion sizes, recipes, quality standards, and departmental policies are adhered to.
- Supervise kitchen associates in their cleaning and food production tasks.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is functioning properly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas.
- Effectively manage the breakdown, rotation, labeling, dating, and storage of food items.
- Perform opening, closing, and side work duties as per established guidelines.
- Train new and existing team members under management's guidance.
- Address disciplinary issues and ensure high-quality employee performance.
- Guarantee the quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of food and beverage orders.
- Ensure all paperwork is completed and submitted at the end of the shift.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in all workstations and storage areas.
- Adhere to inventory and labor control measures; conduct inventory counts as needed.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED required; an Associate's Degree in Food & Beverage or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a back-of-house restaurant or food service role in a high-volume setting is required.
- One year of supervisory experience in a restaurant or service environment is preferred.
- Excellent guest service skills; ability to adhere to the company's service standards.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required food safety certifications.
- Knowledge of operations in a high-volume sit-down restaurant with elevated service standards.
- Basic math skills; ability to accurately manage inventory.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; capable of preparing written reports.
- Effective time management and organizational skills; ability to direct the work of multiple team members.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to remain on feet for the entire shift, including constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.
- Ability to navigate between tables and around corners.
- Ability to lift, balance, and transport large food trays weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Majority of time spent alternating between a climate-controlled restaurant environment and the temperature variations of a kitchen.
Shift Details
- Day and evening shifts available.
- Work may include weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Event-based scheduling.
