R1 RCM is seeking a skilled Medical Coding Specialist to join our team. As a Coding Specialist, you will apply CPT-4 and HCPCS codes to medical records for the cardiovascular lab and interventional radiology departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply CPT-4 and HCPCS codes to medical records
  • Verify supplies used during procedures
  • Use encoders and other references
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records
  • Reconcile monthly surgical logs

Requirements:

  • Proficient knowledge of ICD-10, CPT-4, and HCPCS assignments
  • Proficient knowledge of CPT coding guidelines
  • Medical terminology and anatomy knowledge
  • Ability to maintain high productivity and accuracy
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
