We are in search of a seasoned expert in the Healthcare sector to assume the role of Risk Engineering Services Healthcare Industry Practice Leader. This pivotal position entails providing strategic risk engineering guidance and support to Chubb's Healthcare Industry Practice Tower, which includes various business units such as Commercial Insurance, Major Accounts, Westchester, Bermuda, and Small Business Insurance.

The Healthcare Industry Practice Leader will play a crucial role in shaping underwriting risk mitigation strategies, offering technical expertise, and formulating comprehensive guidelines for risk assessments conducted across our North America field network. Key responsibilities include executing loss control evaluations, coordinating services, fostering an inclusive team culture, and delivering innovative solutions to enhance the value proposition of Risk Engineering.

This position necessitates over 35% travel across North America and offers flexibility in location within the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee complex account stewardship throughout North America
  • Manage and coordinate client stewardship meetings and service delivery
  • Conduct site surveys and risk assessments for intricate healthcare operations
  • Provide expert consultation to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Offer actionable recommendations aimed at minimizing potential losses
  • Support account growth, non-insurance revenue generation, and profitability
  • Collaborate with the North America Underwriting Healthcare Industry Practice Leader to align on Risk Engineering business priorities
  • Partner with Risk Engineering Strategy & Operations to effectively manage vendor relationships and performance
  • Oversee existing Healthcare tools and services
  • Engage directly with clients and policyholders to secure, support, and retain profitable business
  • Develop and lead a team of risk engineers specializing in healthcare to conduct multi-line surveys and services across North America
  • Create, manage, and update technical subject matter, including guidelines and service standards
  • Drive the Healthcare Quality Assurance (QA) process to ensure consistent report and service quality
  • Ensure appropriate utilization of risk engineering efforts by underwriting
  • Generate thought leadership materials for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Conduct project research to support healthcare underwriting and claims
  • Require a minimum of 10 years in healthcare risk management or loss prevention
  • Hold a four-year degree in Safety & Health, Sciences, Engineering, or a related field
  • Possess professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional or Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management
  • Preferred candidates will have specialized expertise in healthcare multi-line risk assessments
  • Exhibit strong leadership qualities with integrity and resolve
  • Demonstrate experience in developing and executing successful strategies and business plans
  • Possess a thorough understanding of relevant standards and their application
  • Proven ability to implement and manage effective Risk Engineering programs
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with experience in public speaking
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills focused on high-priority issues
  • Strategic mindset with the capability to translate strategy into actionable objectives
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing effective strategies and procedures
  • Comprehensive understanding of Risk Engineering operations and insurance-related activities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat; familiarity with SharePoint and Access is a plus

The compensation range for this role is between $128,500 and $215,000, contingent upon the applicant's qualifications and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for participation in an annual incentive program. Chubb provides a comprehensive benefits package, details of which can be found upon inquiry.
