About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Chef to join our team at VU Rooftop Bar, part of The Fifty/50 Restaurant Group. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with our culinary team to create innovative and delicious menu items that showcase our restaurant's unique style and flavors.
  • Kitchen Management: Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including inventory management, staff supervision, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality and safety, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate our kitchen team to achieve exceptional results, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Inventory and Cost Control: Manage inventory levels, control food costs, and maintain accurate records to ensure the profitability of our restaurant.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that all guests have a positive dining experience and receive prompt and courteous service.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of fine dining kitchen experience, with at least 3 years in a management position.
  • Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, excellent culinary skills, and a strong understanding of food safety and quality control.
  • Education: A culinary degree or equivalent experience.
