Position Overview:
As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a vital role in our Finance & Accounting Department. Your primary responsibilities will include verifying the accuracy of financial documents, maintaining organized records, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and verify figures, postings, and documentation for accuracy.
- Organize and secure all financial records and cash equivalents in line with established procedures.
- Record, store, and analyze computerized financial data.
- Classify, code, and summarize financial information to maintain accurate records.
- Prepare, audit, and distribute financial reports and tables as required.
- Complete period-end closing procedures and generate reports as specified.
- Prepare and reconcile bills, invoices, and account statements according to company guidelines.
- Follow up on overdue accounts and vendor invoices until resolution.
- Prepare daily consolidated cash deposits from all cash handling staff.
- Document and communicate any cash variances.
- Administer all cashier banks and contracts.
- Uphold company policies and maintain a professional appearance.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and clients, ensuring clarity and professionalism.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and protect company assets.
- Foster positive working relationships with team members and support collective goals.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a related role.
- Supervisory Experience: Not required.
- Certification: None required.
Compensation and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $21.60 per hour, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare, flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, life insurance, and disability coverage. Benefits are subject to eligibility and other requirements.
