Job SummaryAs a Marine Compliance Specialist at Core Group Resources, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company's offshore and marine operations comply with industry standards, regulations, and internal policies. Your responsibilities will include conducting compliance audits, reviewing and updating safety management systems, and liaising with regulatory authorities. You will also provide guidance and training to offshore teams on regulatory requirements and compliance procedures. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct compliance audits on vessels and offshore installations to ensure adherence to safety and operational regulations.
  • Review and update safety management systems (SMS), including emergency response plans and environmental policies, in line with international maritime standards.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities (e.g., USCG, IMO) and class societies to maintain certifications and ensure compliance.
  • Support the preparation and execution of inspections, audits, and surveys, including ISM (International Safety Management) and ISPS (International Ship and Port Facility Security) Code compliance.
  • Provide guidance and training to offshore teams on regulatory requirements and compliance procedures.
  • Monitor changes in maritime regulations and industry standards, advising the management team on necessary adjustments to policies and practices.
  • Prepare and submit compliance reports to internal and external stakeholders, highlighting areas for improvement and corrective actions taken.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including operations, safety, and environmental teams, to ensure a holistic approach to compliance management.


Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Maritime Studies, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in marine compliance, offshore drilling, or marine operations.
  • Strong knowledge of international maritime regulations, including IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL, and ISM/ISPS codes.
  • Experience working with regulatory bodies such as USCG and class societies.
  • Proven track record of conducting audits, inspections, and risk assessments in offshore environments.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
