Job Summary

Catholic Health Services is seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team. As a Registered Dietitian, you will be responsible for providing nutritional care and education to patients and residents in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Nutritional Care Planning
    • Review dietary requirements of each patient/resident and assist the attending physician in planning for the patient's/resident's prescribed diet plan.
    • Ensure that all-interdisciplinary notes charted are informative and descriptive of the services provided and of the patient's/resident's response to the services.
  • Patient Education
    • Involve the patient and family in planning objectives and goals for the patient.
    • Provide information and other relevant updates audibly to patients, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members as necessary.
  • Menu Planning and Preparation
    • Plan normal and special diet menus as prescribed by the attending physician.
    • Evaluate and ensure accuracy in the preparation of documentation.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Participate in discharge planning, development, and implementation of patient care plans, patient assessments, etc., as required.
    • Respect and maximize team effort through interactions with both clinical and support staff.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Current State of Florida license as a dietitian.
    • Registration or eligibility with the CDR of the American Dietetic Association.
    • BS in clinical dietetics or foods/nutrition; plus, one-year internship or equivalent, or master's degree required.
    • Minimum of one-year clinical dietetics experience preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Skilled Nursing and IRF experience preferred.
    • Must be able to provide own transportation to various locations in service areas, as required by duties.
    • Must have knowledge of computer office/clinical software.
    • Must be able to read, write, and understand the English language.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 250+ pounds, walk, climb stairs or ladders, stand on feet for extended periods of time, etc.
