Position Overview
The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the daily operations of the Pharmacy department within a retail environment. Additionally, you will provide assistance to customers.

Key Responsibilities


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to: 1.

Ensure the precision and suitability of all prescriptions processed by conducting Drug Utilization Reviews and Final Quality Assurance in accordance with state and federal Board of Pharmacy regulations.

Drive business growth and prescription volume through recommended clinical initiatives, including appropriate immunization services and, when applicable, Medication Therapy Management (MTM), Diabetes Care Specialist (DCS), and other ongoing programs.

3. Supervise the daily functions of the Pharmacy department. 4. Provide guidance to customers regarding their medications. 5. Ensure the profitability and expansion of the Pharmacy Department. 6. Address and resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and concerns to foster trust and loyalty. 7. Adhere to all federal and state laws and regulations. 8. Collaborate with healthcare providers to gather additional information regarding customers and their prescriptions. 9. Guarantee exceptional customer service from Pharmacy associates. 10. Maintain a clean and efficient Pharmacy environment. 11.

Offer leadership and development opportunities for associates by communicating career paths, providing consistent performance feedback, and demonstrating RAPTAR (Recognition, Appreciation, Praise, Treat Associates Respectfully) principles.

12. Safeguard the security of the Pharmacy department. 13. Maintain records for controlled substances, outdated and recalled medications, and prescription and customer files. 14. Manage pharmacy inventory to meet customer needs effectively. 15. Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures regarding controlled substance dispensing and record-keeping. 16. Prioritize Pharmacy Department tasks and ensure timely completion of all responsibilities, including cycle counts, inventory management, and customer will-calls.

Qualifications

Compensation Range:
$62.50-$68.75/hour


Bonus and Relocation Opportunities Available


Education and Experience: A Bachelor's degree (BS), Doctoral degree (PHARM.D.), or equivalent in Pharmacy, along with Immunization Certification from an accredited organization (e.g., APhA) and a minimum of one (1) year of experience as a licensed Pharmacist; or a comparable combination of education and experience.

Additionally, experience in a retail setting is preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND/OR REGISTRATIONS: This position necessitates the following Licenses and Certifications:

  • Valid Pharmacist License in the state of practice.
  • Valid Immunization Certification.
  • Valid Immunization License in the state of practice, if mandated by state regulations.
Pharmacist License - Must be valid in the state of original licensure, with reciprocity in states of application.
