POSITION OVERVIEW:
Under general oversight, supports the delivery of high-quality and suitable food services to fulfill the dietary needs of diverse age groups, from infants to seniors. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting in the preparation and distribution of meal trays for patients/residents, maintaining cleanliness in the dishwashing area, and performing various sanitation tasks.

Assist in the preparation of patient/resident meal trays by ensuring the station is organized and menu items are ready according to guidelines and served accurately.
Ensure a safe and sanitary environment for food service and equipment cleaning. Utilize appropriate cleaning agents for sanitation.
Responsible for cleaning the station, preparing dishes and utensils for washing, and properly storing them post-cleaning.
Clean dishwashing machines and/or pots and pans areas according to established procedures.
Engage in activities that promote positive change within your department and across other departments.
Foster and maintain effective relationships within the department, with other departments, medical staff, and hospital visitors.
Take an active role in enhancing your skills to perform job functions through personal and professional development.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
No prior experience is necessary.
On-the-job training will be provided to achieve standard productivity under close supervision.
A high school diploma is preferred but not mandatory.
Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training is required within 6 months of hire and every 3 years thereafter.
Maintain a professional and collaborative work environment to promote a positive public image for Trinity Health. Adhere to all laws and regulations regarding patient health, safety, food safety, and medical information (i.e., HIPAA, etc.).
Ability to read, speak, and follow simple oral and written instructions.
Ability to perform basic calculations.
Manual dexterity and coordination are required to operate food service equipment, dishwashing machines, and serve food on tray lines.
Effective communication skills are essential.
Maintain a friendly and courteous demeanor in interactions with colleagues, staff, patients/residents, and visitors.
