Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of the funeral home, including managing staff, coordinating services, and ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to families and individuals, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Business Development: Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth, including identifying new revenue streams and improving operational efficiency.
  • Leadership: Lead and manage a team of funeral home staff, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure their success.
  • Financial Management: Manage the funeral home's budget, ensuring financial stability and growth.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical diploma in Funeral Services or Mortuary Science preferred.
  • Certification/License: Funeral Director license required.
  • Experience: At least five years' industry experience with increasing responsibilities; at least two years' experience guiding staff and communicating expectations.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work evenings and weekends; proficiency in MS Office suite.
