Safety and Compliance Specialist

CaptiveAire Systems is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety and Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and the overall safety of our manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Collaborate with plant management and employees to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Investigate and report on all incidents and near-misses, and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Develop and maintain training programs to ensure employees are aware of and comply with safety procedures and regulations.
- Stay up-to-date with changing regulatory requirements and industry best practices, and ensure our facilities and operations are in compliance.
- Work closely with plant HR to ensure accurate and timely reporting of incidents and injuries.
- Develop and maintain accurate records of safety-related documents and processes.
- 0-5 years of experience in a safety-related role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- 2 or 4-year degree in a relevant field, such as mechanical engineering, fire protection safety engineering, or environmental health and safety sciences.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
- Self-starter with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience with lean principles and process improvement methodologies a plus.
