About the Role

This position oversees the development and implementation of safety education programs, accident prevention strategies, and regulatory compliance initiatives for the organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the training department to deliver high-quality training programs focused on customer service and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate activities related to on-the-job injuries, light-duty assignments, workers' compensation claims, and liability matters.
  • Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, and compliant work environment in accordance with all applicable regulations and policies.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and injuries, determine fault, complete reports and files, and counsel drivers.
  • Oversee scheduling processes to ensure safe and timely service delivery.
  • Plan and conduct monthly safety meetings aligned with organizational goals.
  • Assist and train drivers on passenger management and safety issues.
  • Perform driver road evaluations.
  • Supervise safety and training staff.
  • Provide reports and analyses on safety trends and develop cost-saving recommendations.
Requirements
  • Must submit to drug testing and a background check.
  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • 90% of work is accomplished indoors and in air-conditioned or well-ventilated facilities.
