Requirements:

  • Availability for 1 weekend shift every 6 weeks
  • Commitment to work 1 major holiday and 1 minor holiday

Overview:
We operate a dynamic 35-bed Cardiac Care unit.

Our patient population includes individuals recovering from STEMI, post-Cardiac Catheterization care, Congestive Heart Failure, Arrhythmias, Blood Pressure Management, and Stroke recovery.

Our nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4, supported by Patient Care Associates to enhance patient care.

We are dedicated to fostering an environment characterized by clear communication, accountability, mutual respect, and, most importantly, teamwork to deliver exceptional patient care.


Qualifications:

Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent

Licensure:
Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; consideration will be given for comparable educational experience and successful licensure. It is the responsibility of the candidate to obtain and maintain a current LPN license in the state of practice and to meet all State Board of Nursing requirements.

Physical Requirements/Demands:
Frequent standing/walking during duty hours; significant bending and stooping, as well as lifting and repositioning patients with assistance; ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds.

Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of LPN experience required.

Certifications:
⇒ Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of the course within 30 days of hire.

⇒ LPN-IV Certification must be completed prior to or within 3 months of hire (range from upon hire to within 1 year).

NOTE:
One or more of the certifications listed below may be required based on the position/unit hired for, or acquisition of certification within the department required timeframe:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • Other unit-specific certifications as required
