Position Available: Production Supervisor for 2nd Shift

Shift Timing: 4:00 pm - 12:30 am, Monday - Friday

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing production personnel to optimize efficiency during assigned shifts and areas. This role involves planning, assigning, and directing work, coordinating weekly Continuous Improvement (CI) meetings, addressing product and employee concerns, and resolving issues. The supervisor will execute responsibilities in accordance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and applicable laws while adhering to all CI processes and the Management Operating Structure (MOS).

  • Collaborates with Plant Management and other Supervisory Staff to assign, direct, review, and monitor the work of supervised personnel to enhance productivity.
  • Ensures that proper procedures are established and followed for production efficiency, product quality, employee safety, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Inspects products to confirm adherence to specifications and directs machine setup and adjustments.
  • Coordinates production schedules and estimates labor hour requirements for job completion.
  • Evaluates production needs for daily task assignments; establishes or modifies work procedures to meet production timelines.
  • Recommends enhancements to production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
  • Analyzes and resolves work-related issues or assists employees in problem-solving.
  • Maintains required time and production records.
  • Works with other supervisors to coordinate departmental activities.
  • Supervises assigned employees in scheduling and daily tasks, ensuring effective selection, retention, feedback, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
  • If applicable, participates in grievances or other contract-related discussions.
  • Trains and instructs employees on production and equipment standards and processes, overseeing the implementation and enforcement of related policies.
  • Models the Company's Code of Ethics by adhering to company policies, standards, and specifications.
  • Engages in typical managerial responsibilities, including planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating, and delegating tasks.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Undergraduate degree in a related field preferred.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food and/or beverage production.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, team lead experience, or supervisory experience.
  • Certification and/or license may be required during employment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Understanding of manufacturing process flow and its significance.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement models.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and company computer systems.
  • Knowledge of supervisory principles, training, and personnel management.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to collaborate effectively and promote teamwork.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for positive interactions with others.
  • Able to think critically and use independent judgment in planning and organizing tasks.
  • Demonstrates initiative and follows through on daily responsibilities.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
