We are seeking a dynamic Kitchen Manager to elevate our culinary operations.

Position Summary

The Culinary Leader/Kitchen Supervisor is tasked with ensuring the highest standards of food quality and guest satisfaction. This role involves overseeing all back-of-house operations, ensuring that our team members and guests are prioritized at all times. The Culinary Leader is responsible for the seamless execution of kitchen processes, maintaining food quality, and adhering to safety and sanitation protocols. Additionally, this position requires analyzing operational reports and feedback to enhance overall performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen and dining operations is essential. Must demonstrate effective shift management across all restaurant functions.
  • Provide mentorship, training, and guidance to assistant managers and team members, focusing on food quality, service excellence, safety, and compliance with company policies.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to operational systems, standards, and cost management.
  • Regularly communicate goals and performance metrics to the management team.
  • Maintain effective communication with guests, team members, management, and suppliers.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of kitchen and dining areas, while maintaining adequate supplies for team efficiency.
  • Manage back-of-house scheduling to optimize staffing levels and guest satisfaction.
  • Oversee inventory management and assist in training assistant managers on inventory processes.
  • Manage kitchen budgets and assist in financial forecasting.
  • Participate in the recruitment and hiring process to maintain optimal staffing levels.
  • Supervise team members to ensure compliance with food and service standards, guaranteeing an exceptional guest experience.
  • Adhere to safety protocols when operating kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and exercise sound judgment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college education preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience in high-volume restaurant management is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills are essential.
  • Proven ability to attract, train, and retain top talent in the culinary field.
  • Exceptional focus on guest service and the ability to deliver a remarkable dining experience.
  • Ability to set, measure, and achieve financial objectives, with an emphasis on sales growth and cost management.

Physical Requirements:

Job duties may involve bending, lifting, reaching, and transporting items weighing up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand for extended periods is required.

Additional Requirements:

  • Capability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Strong communication skills and dexterity for handling food and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to climb ladders and step stools.
  • Exposure to heat and kitchen environments.
