The successful candidate will collaborate with the Director of Computing Support and fellow specialists to address the diverse computing needs of over 400 individuals within the department. Responsibilities include:
- Co-administration of core departmental systems, including authentication, storage, and security systems.
- Development and implementation of new departmental services, serving as a technical lead for various projects.
- Management of user accounts and security configurations, ensuring robust network-layer security.
- Monitoring system capacity and performance, maintaining critical infrastructure.
- Providing direct support to users, addressing routine help desk requests.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Sciences, or related fields.
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience in computing support.
- Proficiency in Windows Server and multi-user Linux system administration.
- Experience with configuration management tools and network security.
Desirable Skills
Preferred candidates will have:
- Six years of relevant experience, particularly in cloud computing environments.
- Familiarity with statistical applications and biomedical data security.
