Job Title: Senior Computing Specialist

The University of Washington is seeking a highly skilled Senior Computing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our computing systems, including servers, workstations, and network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and maintenance for computing systems, including servers, workstations, and network infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement technical solutions to improve system performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with other IT staff to ensure seamless integration of systems and services.
  • Provide training and documentation to end-users on computing systems and services.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Three years of experience in IT systems administration.
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems, networking protocols, and database management systems.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS or Azure.
  • Knowledge of statistical applications, bioinformatics, and biomedical data security/privacy.
  • Ability to use project management tools and techniques.
