Regulatory Project Manager Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage high-priority regulatory projects across their lifecycle, identifying and structuring problems, analyzing requirements, and communicating project deliverables.
  • Define project scope and objectives, gather, analyze, validate, and manage project requirements.
  • Formulate and define systems scope and objectives for complex, high-impact regulatory requirements and implementation framework.
  • Attend regulatory meetings as a representative of the organization, recording meeting summaries and follow-up actions for distribution to relevant stakeholders.
  • Effectively partner with key stakeholders and subject matter experts across the business unit and businesses to promote a more integrated approach to regulatory relations.
  • Drive tactical and strategic planning to ensure program corrective actions plans are met, including identification, documentation, reviews of multiple deliverables before distributing to regulators on a regular basis.
  • Maintain awareness of changing industry trends, competition, and regulations that impact any phase of success of the lending business.
  • Implement controls to enhance the integrity of key management reporting.
  • Identify risks, communicate impact, and propose risk mitigation options.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree/University degree.
  • 4+ years of Financial Markets domain knowledge: Capital Markets, Cash, Derivatives, Money Markets covering Cross Asset product groups: Rates, FX, Credit, Equities, Commodities & GSP.
  • 4+ years of experience in Technical Project/Program management, strategy development and execution, ability to engage with several working groups, lead and manage simultaneous projects.
  • 4+ years of financial industry experience.
  • Must understand Regulatory Program Management.
  • Experience delivering technology changes related to regulatory programs, specifically within the financial industry.
  • Basic Financial Markets product knowledge, particularly bonds, equities, derivatives, commodities, and rates - crucial to understanding the impact of regulatory changes.
  • Experience leading project management including tracking and reporting, process improvement and change management. A track record of project delivery for large, cross-functional, projects.
  • Experience in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including Agile project work, JIRA and Confluence.
  • Communication skills and experience working with technical and business management teams.
  • Demonstrates strong cross-functional leadership to aligning process, projects, and people to meet business goals in cross-functional team settings.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills with demonstrated ability to transfer data into compelling presentations.
  • Ability to review project updates, plans, etc. and identify gaps/mistakes.
Desired Skills & Experience:
  • Master's degree.
  • Experience in Regulatory domain and changes, especially within North America or Europe.
  • Familiarity with specific regulations like OCC, FCA, or Emir.
