KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct the Governance Office team by managing workloads, assigning responsibilities, evaluating deliverables, and acting as the primary point of contact for federal clients.
  • Serve as the Governance liaison for a range of projects, aiding teams in identifying governance or compliance necessities, evaluating risks, and coordinating between project teams and subject matter experts.
  • Support project teams in their responses to routine audits and assessments to ensure adherence to IT security regulations and policies.
  • Design and enforce standards and best practices in governance, risk, and compliance.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of Governance Office forms, processes, and documentation to assist both internal and external project management teams.
  • Lead risk management efforts, including risk identification and recommended mitigation strategies; track and manage risks from identification to resolution.
  • Promote the use of program management tools and techniques to enhance reporting and compliance for IT projects and services.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure alignment with mission and business objectives.
  • Maintain regular communication with project or service teams.
  • Provide training and support to team members on GRC best practices and regulatory standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in Program Management.
  • Experience with IT enterprise services and processes, focusing on governance development and compliance assurance.
  • In-depth knowledge of GRC frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Experience in reviewing project and technical documentation to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience in facilitating discussions and conducting project meetings.
  • Experience in supervising or managing Agile project teams.
  • Proficient in defining project scope and objectives, developing detailed work products, and managing project tracking and analysis.
  • Experience with continuous monitoring and Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms).
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint, O365 products, and Adobe products.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certification in IT Security or GRC (CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or equivalent) is advantageous.
  • General understanding of the federal government workspace and the associated governance nuances.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience managing projects within the Federal workspace.
  • Familiarity with JIRA for project management.
  • Knowledge of federal IT security regulations is preferred.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in information security, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

CLEARANCE

  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
