ARCO/Murray National Construction is on the lookout for a highly motivated Business Development & Sales professional to join our Agriculture & Controlled Environments division. The ideal candidate will possess experience in identifying and fostering new client relationships and expanding market share opportunities across the U.S. and beyond.

Candidates should demonstrate a proven sales history in the process engineering and/or construction sectors, along with a comprehensive understanding of all phases of planning, design, and construction.

This pivotal role allows for flexibility, enabling the individual to operate from either our Chicago or Nashville office or travel between both locations, making it ideal for someone considering a move to either city.

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

  • Identify and cultivate relationships with industry professionals to generate new business opportunities.
  • Create and expand ARCO's market presence and establish positive brand awareness.
  • Research and analyze key economic factors that may influence market activity within specific niche markets or geographic areas in the U.S. and Canada.
  • Attend trade shows and industry association meetings to stay informed about market conditions, competition, and to build relationships with existing clients and prospects.
  • Provide ongoing updates on new business development activities and other key performance indicators to the ARCO management team.
  • Assist in developing and managing the execution of the sales strategy.
  • Coordinate and manage the sales/proposal process with ARCO/Murray's marketing, project management, and senior leadership teams.
  • Provide mentorship to emerging business developers within the ARCO/Murray organization.
  • Collaborate as part of a team that works together to achieve success.

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree required. Preferred fields include Engineering, Design, Construction Management, or related disciplines. MBAs or degrees in sales and business-related fields will also be considered.
  • 5-7 years of technical sales experience in construction, engineering design, or a related industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish profitable relationships with decision-makers and influencers at various companies and organizations.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
