Job Title: Convention Services Manager

Join Greenleaf Hospitality Group as a Convention Services Manager and take on the exciting challenge of curating exceptional guest experiences. As a key member of our Event Sales and Services Team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and communicating the details for group and convention bookings.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct pre-planning meetings with guests to understand their objectives and needs, providing expert advice to ensure Radisson Plaza Hotel meets and exceeds every group's expectations.
  • Support operations teams during events to ensure all arrangements meet guest specifications and satisfaction, managing on-site changes with ease.
  • Entertain new and existing guests in a professional manner, establishing long-term relationships and fostering a positive guest experience.
  • Provide detailed and accurate communications to both guest and operations departments, including banquet event orders, rooming lists, and group resumes.
  • Monitor group room blocks and pick-ups, ensuring contractual agreements are met and groups are supported to achieve their objectives.
  • Upsell groups and promote a level of service that Radisson Plaza Hotel is known for, leveraging acquired knowledge to drive revenue growth.
  • Partner with the Finance Team to generate accurate bills and follow contracted payment guidelines.
  • Support the Sales Team throughout the sales cycle, from initial inquiry to rebooking.
  • Recommend improvements in products and services by continuously evaluating results and actively seeking guest feedback, driving continuous improvement in all areas.
  • Resolve customer concerns with support from the team and Director of Event Sales and Services, sustaining long-term guest engagement and leadership support.
  • Create and sustain positive leadership interactions with all catering, restaurant, and hotel personnel, promoting Radisson Plaza Hotel's vision, mission, and core values.
  • Support the Department's Guest Service, Business Plan, and Financial objectives.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in event planning required, with hotel convention services experience preferred.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, handling multiple guest requests and questions with quick deadlines.
  • Capacity to connect with guests, understand their needs, and build long-term relationships.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to think clearly, quickly, and make conscious decisions.
  • Self-starter with a passion for complete guest satisfaction and proven ability to orchestrate the total guest experience for each guest.
  • Revenue-driven with the ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as final bills, discounts, percentages, and their impact on profit.
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently enter information into various software programs.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage trends and banquet and audio-visual setups.
  • Ability to travel to other venues while servicing Radisson Catering events.
  • Long periods of standing or sitting.
  • Able to lift 40 lbs.
