GENERAL FUNCTION

The Retail Operations Leader is essential to Oakley's success, guiding a team of store associates to deliver the Oakley Experience to both internal and external customers. This role involves directing and supervising staff, making staffing decisions, ensuring customer satisfaction, managing financial performance, and upholding brand integrity.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • Drive sales performance and achieve outstanding results.
  • Recruit and onboard top talent to fulfill store and organizational needs.
  • Offer continuous feedback through training, coaching, evaluations, and setting ambitious goals to enhance employee performance.
  • Oversee daily operations to maximize sales effectiveness.
  • Ensure visual merchandising standards are met, including product presentation, signage, lighting, and overall store maintenance.
  • Analyze operational reports to ensure compliance with company policies, monitor profitability, and manage payroll effectively.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and documentation to ensure store inventory integrity.
  • Ensure compliance of all staff with established company policies and standards, including the safeguarding of company assets and adherence to sales and operational procedures.
  • Address and resolve issues that impact store service, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Assist with various staff responsibilities as needed throughout the workday.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3+ years of experience in retail sales within a specialized environment.
  • 1+ years of experience in retail management.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on relationship building.
  • Ability to develop and mentor staff, fostering strong relationships and effectively utilizing their skills.
  • Physical capability to be active throughout the day, including standing and moving on the sales floor or in the stockroom.
  • Ability to lift merchandise weighing up to 40 lbs.
  • Engage in various physical activities such as bending, kneeling, stretching, and climbing as part of daily responsibilities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Familiarity with Oakley products and brand.
  • Outgoing, enthusiastic, and sports-oriented personality.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus.
Compensation is determined by various factors, including location, experience, qualifications, and skills. A competitive bonus and/or commission plan may also be available, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes healthcare, retirement savings, paid time off, and employee discounts.
