Job Title: Business Development Manager

Atmosphere Commercial Interiors is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and building relationships with clients in the corporate and education sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a planned approach to targeting and winning new accounts in the corporate and education sectors.
  • Develop market strategies and tactics to gain recognition in the marketplace and win new clients.
  • Direct the strategic opportunity pursuit, including finding, strategizing, pitching, solving, and winning.
  • Build and maintain a network of relationships with clients, vendors, and industry professionals to drive value and leads.
  • Present Atmosphere Commercial Interiors' capabilities, products, and services to clients and vendors.
  • Participate in bid responses for opportunities generated.
  • Develop and execute to forecast, achieving annual opportunity and overall financial plan targets.
  • Communicate effectively with account teams and clients regarding potential business opportunities.
  • Participate in negotiations with prospective clients and vendors when appropriate.
  • Research, identify, qualify, and target potential clients and develop access strategies to initiate contact.
  • Develop and maintain relationships at the 'C Suite' level, gaining an understanding of prospective customers' corporate culture and successfully communicating that to Atmosphere Commercial Interiors team members.
  • Exercise creativity and independent judgment in developing and evaluating sales and marketing strategies to sell Atmosphere Commercial Interiors' products and capabilities within defined markets.
  • Develop and lead the sales strategy with regard to competitive environments, initial opportunity pursuit, and territory development.
Requirements:
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of general sales or business development experience.
  • 2+ years of education industry-related experience.
  • Demonstrated success in building relationships and strategic selling.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and digital selling tools.
Desired Requirements:
  • Office furniture industry knowledge.
  • Education industry experience.
  • Business-to-business sales skills incorporating the use of a strategic selling process.
  • Design knowledge/experience.
  • Basic knowledge of CRM or other industry-specific applications.
  • Negotiation skills.
