Program Manager I

The Employment Program Manager I is a key role within the Employment Development Department, responsible for overseeing and implementing programs that support workforce development and employment initiatives. This position requires a strong analytical and organizational skillset, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and oversee the implementation of workforce development programs, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and objectives.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including employers, educators, and community organizations, to promote employment opportunities and support workforce development initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver training programs, workshops, and other employment-related services.
- Provide technical assistance and support to program staff, ensuring effective program delivery and outcomes.
- Conduct data analysis and reporting to inform program development and improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business administration, public administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in program management, workforce development, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
This position requires local in-person workload, although some telework may be available. The position's office follows the recommended safety guidance from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC).
