Pediatric Oncology Acute Care Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Oncology Acute Care Nurse to join our team at UK Kentucky Children's Hospital.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care to pediatric oncology patients in an acute care setting.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in pediatric oncology care.
Requirements:
  • Current BLS and PALS certification.
  • At least 24 months of experience in pediatric med/surg specialty.
  • Ability to pass EKG exam.
  • Good health and freedom from communicable diseases.
  • Full 7 years of work history listed in application.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • NIH Stroke Certification.
  • Certification in ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, EFM, and CPI.
  • Experience with electronic medical records and other healthcare software.
Work Schedule:

Potential to rotate 7a & 7p shifts if interested.

Additional Information:

Please note that this is a travel nurse position, and you will be required to pass an EKG exam before starting.
