About the Role:

DPR Construction is seeking a highly skilled Carpenter Foreman to lead our carpentry team in the Connecticut market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage craft workers while carrying out assignments related to the role.
  • Manage and supervise the planning, layout, material storage, maintenance, and inspections of carpentry-related work in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards.
  • Coordinate jobsite logistics and maintain relationships with other trades and the main project team.
  • Lead DPR's Injury-Free Environment (IFE) Safety Program and monitor production and quality of crews.
  • Read and understand blueprint drawings and perform layout, calculate mathematical figures, and procure and track materials to be installed.
  • Coordinate work scopes, assist in the creation of resource-loaded schedules, and process timesheets.
  • Conduct employee coaching and employee evaluations, and maintain OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30 certification.
  • Knowledge of Construction Software's such as Plan-grid, Hammertech, and Rhumbix, and ability to use an iPad.

Physical Requirements:

  • Climbing, standing, sitting, walking, reaching, bending, balancing, squatting, and kneeling for prolonged periods at a time.
  • Proficient in the use of tools and equipment, including straight edges, bull floats, mops, and Highway Straight Edges, float blades, combo blades, and finish blades, hand tools for floor finishing, edging, joint tooling, single and double trowel machines, curing, pump, and vibratory equipment, and walk-behind trowels and double riders.
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to and not limited to 100lbs.

Working Conditions:

  • Work occurs primarily in an on-site environment and may be indoors or outdoors, involving heights, exposure to hot or cold weather, loud noises, dust, and fumes.
  • All PPE (Personnel Protective Equipment) must be worn at all times.
