Job Summary

A-Line Staffing Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Director to support clinical and oversight activities for individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism (IDA) with comorbid mental illness (MI), including challenging behaviors and problematic sexual behaviors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Assistance: Provide expert guidance to providers, administrators, and community mental health services regarding individuals with IDA and co-occurring MI/behavioral challenges.
  • Transition Planning: Participate and lead transition planning for individuals moving to or remaining in integrated community settings, ensuring seamless care coordination.
  • Incident Reviews: Conduct thorough reviews of behavioral incidents, identify individuals at risk, and contribute to quality management reports, driving data-driven decision making.
  • Higher Level Reviews: Perform Higher Level Reviews for individuals at risk of placement in State Operated Facilities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on IDA and MI, providing guidance to the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP), Department of Human Services (DHS), and other external stakeholders.
  • Resource Referral: Maintain updated knowledge of community and statewide resources and refer stakeholders to appropriate clinical services, promoting access to care.
  • Positive Practice Initiatives: Support positive practice initiatives, risk management strategies, and contribute to the development of policies and training programs, driving clinical excellence.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate degree in Human Services (psychology, nursing, social work, or a related field).
  • Experience: At least 6 years of clinical experience working with children or individuals across the lifespan with IDA and MI, including experience in managing challenging behaviors and problematic sexual behaviors.
  • Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills in English, with proficiency in computer-based applications including Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of Positive Practices/Approaches and the Recovery Model frameworks in Pennsylvania.
  • Collaboration: Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders (Providers, Administrators, HCQU, DHS Offices) and analyzing quality/risk management data.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel within the assigned regions and across the state as required.
