Orthopedic Services Clinical Specialist
Nemours Children’s Health is in search of a dedicated Orthopedic Services Clinical Specialist. This position is pivotal in delivering specialized orthopedic clinical and administrative support, serving as a vital link between patients and healthcare providers, and facilitating efficient patient management within the outpatient environment. The Specialist will also play a key role in assisting with fundamental procedures, managing patient intake, and executing various administrative responsibilities as directed by the supervising physician or manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting healthcare professionals during patient evaluations and accurately documenting information in medical records
- Preparing patients for assessments, treatments, and procedures
- Addressing patient inquiries and coordinating effectively with both internal and external departments
- Setting up examination rooms, overseeing inventory levels, and conducting point-of-care testing
- Meticulously recording patient communications and intake details
- Managing appointment check-in and check-out processes, along with scheduling duties as required
- Performing additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NCMA, PCT, CCMA, Orthopedic Technician, Cast Technician, CNA, EMT) is necessary.
Medical Scribe certification is preferred.
1-3 years of relevant experience is preferred.
Note: Up to 6 months of experience may be considered based on the discretion of the hiring manager.
