Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Human Resource Technician 2 to join our team at the State of Alaska. As a key member of our payroll services team, you will be responsible for processing, certifying, reviewing, and auditing payroll and personnel actions for assigned departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and certify payroll and personnel actions in a timely and accurate manner
  • Review and audit payroll and personnel transactions to ensure compliance with applicable Personnel Rules, Bargaining Unit provisions, State Statutes, and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Provide assistance and advice to operational and administrative staff on personnel and payroll processing
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless processing of payroll and personnel actions
Requirements
  • 6 months of entry-level technical experience in human resource work equivalent to a Human Resource Technician 1 with the State of Alaska or the equivalent elsewhere
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly and thrive under pressure
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
