Job Summary

This position is responsible for the timely and accurate processing, certification, review, and audit of all payroll and personnel actions for assigned departments. The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.

Key Responsibilities

- Process and certify payroll and personnel actions in accordance with applicable Personnel Rules, Bargaining Unit provisions, State Statutes, and Standard Operating Procedures for the State of Alaska.
- Ensure all payroll and leave transactions are accurate and in compliance with relevant regulations.
- Provide assistance and advice to operational and administrative staff regarding personnel/payroll processing.

Requirements

- Six months of entry technical level experience in human resource work equivalent to a Human Resource Technician 1 with the State of Alaska or the equivalent elsewhere.
- Experience using computers and knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook software.
- Great customer service and communication skills.
