About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Bookkeeper/Staff Accountant to join our team in the Music/Entertainment sector of the Finance industry. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for music and entertainment, combined with a robust background in accounting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general bookkeeping duties, including posting information to accounting software and regularly reconciling accounts.
  • Paying debts as they come due for payment, including necessary entries and maintaining files.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts regularly.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Conduct month-end and year-end closes.
  • Prepare documents for audits.
  • Assist in the development of the annual budget and periodic forecasting.
  • Adhere to organizational procedures and policies.
  • Use Agilink software proficiently to streamline accounting tasks.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger Reconciliations, and Bookkeeping.
  • Experience in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Familiarity with month-end close and budgeting processes.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for the music/entertainment industry is a plus.

This is a hybrid position, with 2 days/week remote and 3 days in our NJ office. We are a laid-back firm that values work/life balance, especially during tax season.
