Avocet Playa Vista is a leading provider of senior living communities, dedicated to delivering exceptional care and services to our residents. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Memory Care Director to lead our Enliven program and ensure the highest level of care and support for our residents.
Job SummaryThe Memory Care Director will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Enliven program, including the development and implementation of care plans, staff supervision, and resident services. This is a key leadership role that requires strong management skills, a passion for delivering exceptional care, and a commitment to our company's values.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management
- Oversee the Enliven program and ensure that it is delivered in accordance with our company's standards and policies.
- Supervise and manage a team of staff members, including Enliven staff and other support staff as needed.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the highest level of care and support for residents.
- Resident Services
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for residents, taking into account their unique needs and preferences.
- Provide direct care and support to residents, including assistance with daily living activities, medication management, and other needs.
- Collaborate with other departments, including sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure a seamless and supportive experience for residents.
- Communication and Collaboration
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met and their concerns are addressed.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure that the Enliven program is integrated with other services and programs offered by Avocet Playa Vista.
- Participate in regular meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.
- Quality and Compliance
- Ensure that the Enliven program is delivered in accordance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including those related to dementia care and senior living.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of care and services provided by the Enliven program, making recommendations for improvement as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure that the Enliven program is integrated with other services and programs offered by Avocet Playa Vista.
- Education and Experience
- College degree in a relevant field, such as nursing, social work, or gerontology.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a dementia care setting, preferably in a leadership or management role.
- Skills and Qualifications
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to develop and implement individualized care plans and provide direct care and support to residents.
- Knowledge of dementia care and senior living, including relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
