Tax Director

Maxar Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Tax Director to join our team in Westminster, CO.
Job Summary:We are looking for a seasoned tax professional to lead our tax function and ensure compliance with all tax-related activities. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of tax planning strategies, experience in managing indirect taxes, and excellent leadership and management skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Manage and oversee the filing of regular tax returns, including income tax, GST, and other direct or indirect taxes.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and disclosure for all aspects of US GAAP and quarterly and annual tax accounting and reporting.
- Identify, analyze, and document exposures for FIN 48/ASC reserves and resolve GAAP technical tax accounting matters as they arise.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments and communicate the effects of developments to the management team.
- Manage technology and processes to ensure efficient and effective data gathering for tax return purposes and develop new policies/procedures as needed for tax compliance.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident.
- Professional qualification of Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Strong understanding of tax planning strategies and experience in managing indirect taxes, including Goods and Services Tax (GST).
- Minimum bachelor's degree in accounting or other finance field.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in tax roles.
- Previous experience as a Tax Director or experience in a similar role.
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP software.
- Experience in leading and managing a finance team.
