Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Farm Operations Manager to join our team at Augustine Band of Cahuilla Indians Careers. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our farm, including crop selection, crop cycle planning, and farm worker training and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and direct farm workers in the cultivation and harvesting of crops
  • Develop and implement crop rotation plans to ensure soil health and crop diversity
  • Conduct regular safety inspections to ensure a safe working environment for farm workers
  • Collaborate with the Business Manager to develop and implement farm production plans
  • Monitor and control farm expenses to ensure efficient use of resources

  • Supervise and direct farm maintenance and repair activities
  • Develop and implement plans to improve farm sustainability and reduce environmental impact
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Science or related field
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in farm management or related field
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass a soft background check
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in organic farming or sustainable agriculture
  • Knowledge of crop rotation and soil health management
  • Experience in supervising and training farm workers
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
