The Field Service Automation Engineer is a key role at Abbott Laboratories, responsible for providing technical support and customer experience to assigned accounts. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of instrumentation utilized in a laboratory environment and excellent communication skills to interface with customers. Key responsibilities include providing Level I and Level II phone and on-site support, performing proactive service support activities, and recording accurate documentation of customer complaints. Additionally, the successful candidate will plan and prioritize customer visits, prepare and execute training events, and coordinate order, delivery, and billing of products and/or services. This role requires a strong relationship with Enterprise Account Managers and Sales Executives to develop account-specific lab strategies and execute commercial cycles. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the competitive landscape and be able to leverage it to maximize business opportunities. Required qualifications include an Associate's degree or equivalent experience, 2 years of relevant experience with instrumentation, and 2 years of experience interfacing with customers.
