PRN Speech Language Pathologist

Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Speech Language Pathologist on a PRN basis to provide essential services to our patients. The ideal candidate will hold a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology and possess a current license (ABESPA) issued by the State of Alabama. Additionally, a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification is required. Experience in assessing and treating acute inpatient issues related to speech and swallowing, as well as pediatric experience, is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments for patients with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that are results-oriented and include measurable goals.
- Adjust treatment plans based on patient responses and progress.
- Provide guidance and support to staff and families regarding speech therapy practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Diagnose and treat speech and language disorders while engaging in research related to human communication.
- Evaluate communication skills in relation to educational, medical, social, and psychological factors.
- Plan and direct rehabilitative programs aimed at restoring communicative efficiency for individuals with various communication challenges.
