About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store Leader to join our team at Altar'd State Sioux Falls, South Dakota, United States. As a Store Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of associates, driving sales growth, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit, select, and develop a high-performing team of associates
  • Lead by example, ensuring that customer satisfaction is the top priority
  • Organize and prioritize store activities, meet deadlines, and follow up on tasks
  • Proven ability to motivate and challenge the team to achieve sales goals
  • Create a positive and inclusive work environment, driving volume and anticipating customer needs
  • Achieve excellent customer service by role-modeling company standards
  • Adhere to Human Resources standards and policies
  • Assess associate performance, provide feedback, and recognize achievements
  • Hold self and associates accountable for achieving financial results and metric goals
  • Manage conflict and coach associates using company-approved processes
  • Empower and involve associates in decision-making processes
  • Develop associates through individualized approaches, matching talent with tasks
  • Foster team commitment through support, relationship building, and recognizing individual contributions
  • Lead through change and adversity, developing business strategy and maximizing opportunities
  • Forecast and analyze business trends, manage payroll expense, and maximize store performance
  • Achieve quantifiable performance goals, including net sales, DPT, UPT, payroll, and shortage
  • Control payroll expenses through effective and efficient staffing
  • Analyze business reports to identify problems and areas of opportunity
  • Direct guest service efforts, coaching associates on interactions to increase transactions and capture opportunities
  • Develop the team to accomplish store business objectives through recruitment, selection, coaching, investment, retention, and motivation
  • Ensure attainment of sales, payroll, and inventory shortage goals
  • Understand and be accountable for controlling income and expense categories related to company profit and loss statements
  • Direct merchandise presentation, restocking, and recovery to maximize productivity
  • Understand and ensure compliance with Altar'd State values, practices, and operational standards
  • Communicate effectively with the executive team
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy boxes (up to 30 lbs.)
  • Utilize and manage weekly reporting to track, analyze, and communicate progress towards goals
  • Demonstrate knowledge of visual standards and techniques, and ability to implement and substitute within company guidelines
  • Understand and articulate the Company's brand positioning, including concept uniqueness, marketing initiatives, outreach events, in-store events, and ministries
  • Operate with the highest levels of personal integrity and business confidentiality
  • Represent the brand by adhering to appropriate standards of dress and grooming
  • Maintain a clean store environment
