Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Specialist to join our team at Ohio's Hospice.

About the Role:

  • This is a full-time position at our Columbus IPU, located inside The Ohio State Wexner Center.
  • The Personal Care Specialist will work 12-hour shifts (6:30a-6:30p) with a holiday and weekend rotation.
  • We provide exceptional care and services to patients at the end of their life journey, and we're looking for someone who shares our passion for hospice care.

Responsibilities:

The Personal Care Specialist will provide high-quality nursing assistance to patients, assist families with patient care, and work collaboratively with a team to deliver exceptional care.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) with the State of Ohio, without any board actions.
  • One year of experience preferred.
  • Certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine (CHPNA) preferred, required within two years of employment.
  • Computer skills sufficient to properly document services and care.
  • Ability to drive during daytime, nighttime, or inclement weather.
  • Valid Driver's license with a safe driving record.
  • State minimum automobile insurance coverage.
