Richmond Community Services is actively looking for a Community Nurse to provide essential nursing care across our group home facilities.

Position Overview:

Under the clinical supervision of the Director of Nursing and the administrative oversight of the Director of Residential Services, the Community Nurse Specialist/Nursing Case Manager is responsible for ensuring that the health and nursing standards are upheld for the residents in our group homes. This role involves guiding direct support staff, delivering direct nursing care, and coordinating external medical services. The Community Nurse will also oversee the operation of the assigned group home facility as directed by the Residence Manager. Additionally, this position includes evaluating the Approved Medication Administration Personnel (AMAP) to ensure compliance with New York State (NYS) regulations regarding medication administration.

Qualifications:

Education:

Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Experience:

  • Three to five years of nursing experience.
  • One to two years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.

Additional Requirements:

  • Possession of a valid NYS Registered Nurse license.
  • Valid NYS driver's license with access to a vehicle for transportation between agency sites.
  • Availability to respond to healthcare emergencies 24/7 via pager.

Compensation: The salary range is $50.00-$56.31, based on experience.
