Job Summary

Northwell Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit team. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and psychosocial health status, develop individualized care plans, and prioritize interventions to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Implementation and Evaluation: Implement care plans, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, and evaluate patient outcomes to ensure effective care delivery.
  • Medication Administration: Safely and accurately administer medications, monitor patient responses, and document medication administration.
  • Education and Support: Provide patient and family education, support, and counseling to promote health literacy and self-management.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, communicate effectively with patients and families, and maintain accurate documentation.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing with an Associate's Degree in Nursing (required) or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
  • Minimum 1-2 years of professional nursing experience in the related specialty.
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
  • BLS/ACLS certification, plus specialized certifications as needed.
