The HR Support Team Specialist plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service to all UC San Diego employees. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills to evaluate and address moderately complex issues, as well as the ability to anticipate potential follow-up questions when providing solutions. Clear, service-oriented communication skills are essential for interacting with customers via email, telephone, and in-person channels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first-line HR support to employees, managers, and HR professionals
  • Respond to and resolve tier 1 phone and case inquiries
  • Escalate inquiries to other subject matter expert areas within HR as needed
  • Collaborate with the Front Desk Team of Campus HR to provide seamless support
  • Document processes and consolidate knowledge for the evolving team

Working Conditions

This position is hybrid with an anticipated onsite requirement of two days per week. The incumbent must be available for incoming phone calls while performing other job duties.

This position has been identified as a Mandated Reporter pursuant to the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and requires immediate reporting of physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, or neglect of anyone under the age of 18.

Pay and Benefits

The annual full pay range for this position is $63,800 - $111,600, with an hourly equivalent of $30.56 - $53.45. The hiring pay scale is $37.78 - $42.00/Hourly.
