Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Hospice Inpatient Unit. This role is vital in providing exceptional care to patients in a supportive environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conducts thorough assessments of patients' physical and safety needs.
  • Delivers direct nursing care in alignment with established care plans and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborates with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to develop comprehensive care plans that address the holistic needs of patients.
  • Provides nursing care within the inpatient facility as per the care plan.
  • Engages professionally with physicians and healthcare team members, ensuring timely communication of critical information.
  • Maintains accurate and timely documentation of nursing assessments, interventions, and updates to care plans, adhering to organizational standards.
  • Oversees the work of LPNs and nursing aides, ensuring compliance with supervision policies.

Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program; ASN required, BSN preferred.
  • Possession of a valid Registered Nurse license in North Carolina.
  • Preferred: Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience.
  • Desirable: Certification in Hospice and Palliative Care.
  • Physical capability to lift, turn, and transfer patients, with a minimum lifting requirement of 40 pounds.
