Key Responsibilities:
This individual will be tasked with:
1. Reviewing and validating CPT & ICD-10 codes submitted by healthcare providers.
2. Addressing and resolving claim denials and patient inquiries.
3. Managing outstanding accounts receivable with insurance companies.

Essential Functions:
- Identify and resolve patient billing discrepancies.
- Assess patients' financial situations and create budget-friendly payment plans.
- Analyze insurance company denials and prepare necessary appeals.
- Correct errors in rejected claims to ensure successful resubmission.

Work Environment:
This role is situated in a medical office setting with standard working hours. Flexibility for occasional overtime may be required.

Qualifications:
Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate should have:
- A minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in medical billing or relevant certification from AAPC or AHIMA.
- Proficient knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding standards, including Modifier usage and CCI bundling edits.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with GE-Centricity/Athena practice management software is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is beneficial.

Education:
A High School Diploma or GED is required.
