Position Overview
The Student Assistant plays a vital role in providing direct support to the Administrative Suite. This position collaborates closely with Office Managers across various departments, including Administration, Medical Services, Nursing Services, and Human Resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming visitors to the Administrative Suite
- Delivering clerical and secretarial assistance to the administration
- Managing incoming calls with effective telephone coverage
- Performing filing, scanning, data entry, and maintaining spreadsheets
Qualifications
To be eligible for this position, candidates must be current students at the University of Georgia. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Respect for confidentiality regarding health and employee information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Word
