Production Supervisor

At Latham Pool Products, Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful operation of a single shift, managing daily production activities, and supporting a strong employee culture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise operations to ensure positive labor efficiency and variance through proper usage of personnel
  • Implement and maintain a safety-first culture throughout the facility
  • Maintain high levels of quality throughout the manufacturing process
  • Responsible for production, meeting daily schedules to ensure on-time delivery while minimizing overtime
  • Conduct regular inspections of products to ensure quality
  • Utilize lean manufacturing principles to identify efficiency issues and suggest improvements
  • Submit reports on performance and progress to direct manager
  • Communicate job expectations, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures
  • Participate in the hiring, training, and review process of production employees
  • Monitor attendance and take disciplinary steps as required
  • Facilitate daily shift meetings
Requirements:
  • Minimum of Associate degree with experience; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in manufacturing/engineering related function
  • Required - Proficiency with all MS Office Applications
  • Experience with payroll systems is a plus
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Must be able to work overtime when necessary, including extended hours or weekends
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Lean Manufacturing or 5S experience desired
  • Good understanding of safety, quality, productivity, inventory, employee relations
  • Ability to work effectively in a multitasking environment and work constructively under pressure
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a sense of urgency and strong aptitude
  • Ability to develop, maintain, and motivate a strong team
  • Ability to solve practical problems and difficult situations
  • Regularly required to talk or hear, frequently required to stand; walk; bend; use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms, prolonged sitting, repetitive computer use, ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly
  • Bilingual preferred
