Position Overview:
This role is pivotal within the operations of First Tek, specifically at the Danville, Kentucky Distribution Center. The individual will be engaged in the assembly of critical components that contribute to the functionality of aircraft wheels and brakes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections, cleaning, and assembly of aerospace components into final products, ensuring compliance with testing protocols for product acceptance.
  • Interpret blueprints, specifications, and work instructions to execute mechanical assembly processes accurately.
  • Collaborate with production planning personnel to obtain necessary work instructions for assigned tasks.
  • Complete all required documentation to meet regulatory and customer standards.
  • Operate hydraulic testing equipment and various hand tools after receiving appropriate training.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and company policies regarding environmental, health, and safety matters.
  • Engage in physical activities, including frequent lifting and walking throughout the workday, while maintaining regular attendance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations.
  • Ability to utilize a variety of hand tools and machinery effectively.
  • Strong comprehension of safety rules, operating instructions, and company policies.
  • Excellent manual dexterity for handling small components.
  • Problem-solving skills to address common issues within the work area.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; technical training is preferred.

Certifications:
Relevant vocational training or equivalent experience in a related field.

Experience:
A minimum of two years in a manufacturing environment is required, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints and product specifications.

Pay Range:
The compensation for this position ranges from $20.00 to $21.00 per hour, contingent upon relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.
