Job Responsibilities:
This role involves the assembly of aerospace components, specifically aircraft wheels and brakes. The technician will:
- Conduct daily assembly tasks with precision and care.
- Engage in functional testing of completed assemblies.
- Prepare products for distribution to clients.
- Participate in ongoing improvement initiatives and project teams.
Key Duties:
- Inspect, clean, and assemble aerospace components into final products.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
- Complete necessary documentation to meet industry standards and regulations.
- Operate hydraulic testing equipment and various hand tools after receiving appropriate training.
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols.
- Perform heavy lifting and remain active throughout the workday.
- Exhibit regular and punctual attendance, with flexibility for variable schedules as needed.
Job Specifications:
- Proficient in mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly processes.
- Capable of using a range of hand tools and machinery.
- Strong ability to read and understand safety rules, operating instructions, and company policies.
- Good manual dexterity for handling small components.
- Ability to identify and resolve common issues in the workplace, selecting appropriate solutions from established options.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Additional technical training is preferred.
Certifications:
- Relevant vocational training or apprenticeships in a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of two years in a manufacturing environment is essential.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and possessing necessary mathematical skills for discrete part manufacturing is required.
